12 Days of Holiday Cheer begins on Wednesday the 4th!

Skyline School would like to give a huge thanks to the Ava Masonic Lodge. This organization generously gifted a pair of shoes to every one of our students.


Last week our third and fourth grade students attended the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children's Literature Festival.

No School today (11-5) due to flooding road conditions.

Preschool and Kindergarten enjoyed pumpkin activities this morning. They estimated how many seeds might be in the pumpkin, scooped out the guts, and counted the seeds by putting them into groups of 10.
628 seeds later, they were given to Mrs. Rhonda to roast and enjoy during our party this afternoon!

PreK enjoyed time experimenting with funnels, shovels and digging today. We counted, sorted rocks and talked about why the sizes of the funnel were important to help the rocks pass through.








Today we practiced emergency drills for fire, earthquake, tornado, and intruder. All of our staff and students took this seriously, and our drills went very well. We appreciate everyone's effort in keeping our school safe.

Yesterday, Douglas County Sheriff Chris Degase delivered coats to our school, as part of the Coats for Kids program. We greatly appreciate our local sheriff's department.
