Today is Coach Appreciation Day, and we have some great ones! Head Coach Shane Gray and Assistant Coach Josh Strong always encourage our student athletes to do their best. We also want to shout out our archery instructors, Melissa Willhite and Heather Decker. Between basketball, cross country, and archery, our students have great leaders to motivate them!

Thank you to the parents who brought their children to participate in the Apples-to-Apples fine motor event.  If you missed it this time, we missed you.  But no worries, we hope to see you next month on October 30th (a flyer will come out soon).  Fine motor skills provide a necessary foundation for kindergarten readiness.  Parents can help by providing children the opportunities to observe, explore, and practice motor skills which will greatly affect mastery.  If the early experiences are successful and fun, a child is likely to develop the confidence and desire to continue.  This is a free Parents as Teachers event, but all children birth through preschool are welcome to come.  If you are interested in activities you can do with your child at home that will help prepare them for kindergarten, please come!  We would love to have you.

A few parents have asked if there is a way to turn off the "low lunch balance" notifications they receive in Parent Portal. Here are the steps to fix this issue when logged in on Parent Portal:
Parent Main > Miscellaneous > Communication Preferences

  1. Check the Low Lunch Balance notifications

  2. Change the Low Balance Threshold to 0.00, or disable it completely (off)

  3. Save
