Our pre-K thru second grade field trip to the pumpkin patch is tomorrow, October 28. The bus will leave the school around 9:30 and will return before the end of the school day. Students are required to ride the bus to the pumpkin patch, but can leave with parents after letting the student's teacher know. Parents who are attending will need to pay $7 at the gate for admission. Tomorrow's forecast shows temperatures in the mid 50's and chances for rain, please dress your child accordingly. We are looking forward to a great day tomorrow!

Per the Douglas County Sheriff's office, the person they were pursuing is now in custody. We appreciate the way our local law enforcement took measures to keep our school safe. We also appreciate our teachers and staff for handling this situation in a calm and efficient manner.

We wanted to let everyone know the Douglas County Sheriff's Department is looking for a person in the area, with the help of police dogs. We will be able to dismiss at the normal time, with law enforcement on site as a precaution. The KFC meeting that was scheduled for after school today has been cancelled.

Skyline School has been given directions from the Douglas County Sheriff's Department to put our school in a soft lockdown while they pursue a man who fled a motor vehicle accident near the school. Per school protocol, our doors will remain locked and no one will leave or enter until we get the all clear from law enforcement. Further updates will be given as soon as they are available.

Our last middle school basketball game of the season is TOMORROW, October 16. It's a home game, and we would love to see our bleachers filled with Skyline Tiger supporters! We would also like to encourage all of our students to wear Skyline gear to school tomorrow, or to wear school colors.

Donuts with Grown-Ups was lots of fun! We want to give thanks to our local law enforcement (Douglas County Sheriff's office) who stopped by for a donut: Chris Degase, Nate Long, James Nelson, and Jonathan Harley.
