Open House is tomorrow night from 5-7 pm. This event lets students meet their teachers and see their classroom. Our bus drivers will also be there for any questions about bus routes. We will be serving hot dogs and chips. We are looking forward to seeing our students and parents!

We had a great time at our Back to School Bash! Our students got to gather their school supplies, and then enjoy a foam party. We would like to give a big thanks to everyone who made this event possible, a lot of work went into it. We would also like to thank those who generously donated so that school supplies could be provided for our students.

Our Back to School Bash is next week on the 11th! This is a night with lots of fun activities, including picking up your school supplies. If you're unable to attend, your student's supplies will be given to their teacher.

Reminder that our Back to School Bash is on August 11. Once again, thanks to generous donations, school supplies are being provided for all students. Parents will need to provide a backpack and gym shoes for each student. It's also helpful if parents can provide a change of clothes to be kept at school for our younger students (preK thru first.) We're looking forward to another great year at Skyline!

Skyline R-2 School will be holding open enrollment for new students on Wednesday, August 13, from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Please bring student's birth certificate, social security card, immunization record, and proof of residency. For any questions, please call the school office at 417-683-4874.
Skyline R-II School has received two awards from the PRiME Center at St. Louis University. We received a 10th place award in Mathematics and a 12th place award in English Language Arts, for exceptional student growth among rural schools. We are so proud of our students and our teachers!
Our final 2024-2025 Summer School day at Skyline Elementary ended with splashes, smiles, and exhaustion by all! Thank you all for enrolling your kids to learn, experiment, and build friendships. Enjoy your summer with your families, stay safe, and we will see you all again at our Open House set for August 14th!
How many rubber bands does it take to force a watermelon to break under pressure? Skyline summer school students did an experiment today using force to find the answer. 533 rubber bands!
Our last day of summer school will be on Thursday, May 29. We will be going to the Grand Country Waterpark in Branson. Our bus will leave the school shortly after 8 am, and arrive at the waterpark shortly before 10 am. We plan to leave around 1:45 pm. Students can bring money for a drink if they would like. Please send your child with a swimsuit, towel, change of clothes, and appropriate footwear. Also please send a life jacket or floatie if your child has one.
A Skyline Summer School day at the West Plains Movie Theatre watching the new movie release of "Lilo and Stitch" then to the public park for Splash Pad and Park fun!
REMINDER: Our field trip to the movie theater is tomorrow, May 23. Each student will get a free popcorn and drink. If they want other snacks, they will need to bring money. We will be eating lunch at the park/splash pad in West Plains. Please send your child with a towel and an extra change of clothes.
