Hello friends!
The Mountain Grove Lions Club will be here on Wednesday, September 13th to conduct vision screening for all students. This is a FREE service to all students who are enrolled. The results of the screening will be sent home in a letter with students the next day. If there is a concern with the results, a referral letter will be sent home as well for a more complete eye exam with an optometrist.

PTO fundraiser is selling Mum's for $15 each.
Order forms went home with student's last week.
PTO will accept orders through the beginning of October. They ask you get your order in soon due to supply and demand. PTO will contact you on a pickup date/time.

From the Desk of Mrs. Goss:
We did a team building exercise called "Saving Fred." Fred was a worm (gummy worm) whose boat (plastic cup) blew over with a big gust of wind and his life preserver (peach ring) was trapped under the boat. Each team had to talk and make/write out a plan on how they were going to "Save Fred" following these rules in order to put the life preserver completely around Fred:
1. Fred could not fall into the "sea" (the table) more than one time; if he does, Fred "drowns."
2. They may not injure Fred in any way. They could not puncture the life preserver.
3. They could only use the four paper clips to move Fred, the boat, and the life preserver. They could not touch anything except the paper clips.
They also had to write out their steps on how they were going to go about "Saving Fred" and adjust as they needed. Some chose to draw a diagram explaining this instead.
