With your help, our book fair raised $913 in funds towards new books! Here's a note from Librarian, Mrs. Jess: The Skyline book fair was a huge success this year! I was so pleased and humbled at the support that was shown during the week long event and our Grandparent's day! I was able to purchase straight from the fair and have funds left over that will be shared with the classroom libraries as well as some replacements for some of our most loved titles. Again, thank you and I look forward to next year!

8th Grade Quilt Raffle: The year is quickly coming to an end. This year’s 8th grade quilt auction will be a little different, since we will be going on our trip before graduation, we have decided to do an online auction to raffle off our 8th grade quilt. The auction will be on our Facebook page. The auction will start on April 13th and go through April 20th. It will end at exactly 3 pm on April 20th, the highest bid at that point will be the winner. You may post your bid on our Facebook page or call in a bid to the school. The winner will need to make arrangements to pay for and pick up the quilt by April 26th. Thank you so much for supporting our 8th grade class! The school phone number is (417)683-4874. Happy bidding!!

It’s time for a book fair! Mrs Jess has been hard at work setting up the library for the Scholastic Book Fair. Students will be able to shop with grandparents tomorrow. It goes through Wednesday so they will have additional opportunities next week. Parents can send money with their students or set up an eWallet by following the attached link. You can then share your child’s eWallet with family/friends and they can deposit money into your child’s account. Happy Reading! https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/skylineelementaryschool5

Mrs. Goss and her 1st graders were on the trail today following the footprints of a leprechaun that had left them a treasure. They stopped by the office on their hunt. They didn’t find the leprechaun, but they did find middle school teacher, Mrs. Strong, who was all dressed up for St. Patrick’s Day ☘️

Mrs. Brixey’s Kindergarteners recently put their engineering skills to the test. Students were given a variety of supplies and constructed their own “cat traps”. I think all of them were successful at catching a toy kitty cat.

Mrs. Goss’s adventurous first graders have been busy learning. Mrs. Goss shared, “1st grade collected data, organized it, and created an object graph, picture graph, and tallies to answer "Who Would Eat Green Eggs and Ham?" Her class has also recently enjoyed a ‘Yertle the Turtle’ math game to go along with the classic Dr. Seuss book.
