Happy Veterans Day from Skyline School. Thank you to all who have served our country.

No School today (11-5) due to flooding road conditions.
Preschool and Kindergarten enjoyed pumpkin activities this morning. They estimated how many seeds might be in the pumpkin, scooped out the guts, and counted the seeds by putting them into groups of 10.
628 seeds later, they were given to Mrs. Rhonda to roast and enjoy during our party this afternoon!

Lots of great costumes today!

PreK enjoyed time experimenting with funnels, shovels and digging today. We counted, sorted rocks and talked about why the sizes of the funnel were important to help the rocks pass through.

Today we practiced emergency drills for fire, earthquake, tornado, and intruder. All of our staff and students took this seriously, and our drills went very well. We appreciate everyone's effort in keeping our school safe.
It's a beautiful morning at Skyline school!

Our third graders are showing off their drug free tattoos.

Skyline's junior high basketball team will be playing at Lutie this evening, at 5:30. Hope to see you there!

Yesterday, Douglas County Sheriff Chris Degase delivered coats to our school, as part of the Coats for Kids program. We greatly appreciate our local sheriff's department.

Skyline's Fall Carnival was Friday evening. We had a good turnout, with lots of fun games and tasty food for everyone to enjoy. We would like to thank everyone who participated in this event and made it a success.

The Skyline Tigers had a great basketball game last night and came away with a win, 30-26.

Today's Spirit Day is Dress Like A Teacher/Student. I think everyone enjoyed this one!

Come support our Skyline Tigers tonight at 5:00, at our final home game of the middle school season. Tonight is also eighth grade night. Parents will be introduced, and basketballs will be given to our eighth grade players.

Don't forget about our Fall Carnival! Our teachers have been working hard to make this a fun night for our students and their families.
