Tomorrow Skyline will host a guest author speaking to the students. We will welcome Suzanna Lynn and Buddy at 9:00 a.m. If you would like to purchase autographed copies, please send in the money and a note tomorrow morning.

FIELD DAY INFO FROM MR. GRAY: At the moment, the forecast looks terrific for Tuesday with sunshine and temps in the upper 60s expected. Even though it won't be exceptionally warm, all students should have water with them as they navigate the afternoon events. (As a reminder, Wednesday is scheduled as the make-up day in the event of a rain out.)
We will again kick off activities at 1PM to allow all classes to finish their lunches on their regular schedule and to start things off shortly after the 12:50 and 12:52 bells.
All preschool through fifth grade students are welcome and encouraged to participate. In the past, each teacher stayed with their respective students as they progressed through the events and that has worked exceptionally well. We will have a girls division and a boys division for each event. Middle school students will again be helping run/implement the activities at each station.
At the moment, the expected events are as follows with new games added in!
-Egg and spoon race (NEW)
-Soccer kick challenge (NEW)
-Frisbee through hula hoop challenge (NEW)
-Softball throw
-60 yard dash
-2x60 relay race
-Sack race
-1/4 to 1/2 mile run (1/4 mile run for Pre-1 and 1/2 mile run for 2-5)
-Hula hoop competition
-Broad jump
-Free throw competition (grades 4-5)
As we did a year ago, I will distribute first, second and third place ribbons to each teacher for each event (for both boys and girls.)
There will be a concession stand open, so please let students know in case they want to bring funds to purchase product(s).
Finally, I will send out a flow chart to everyone Friday showing where each class' first event will take place and the order of events. It will work better if classes do not skip ahead and remain patient while navigating the events,
