This was a fun STEM challenge from Mrs. Goss. Students were given 3 cups, 6 wide popsicle sticks, and 3 index cards to create something to keep their ducks off of the top of their desk. (Think "the desk is lava") They had 20 minutes to try several different ideas and decide on the best one.

Second and third grade summer school learned about the history of the Olympics, read a short passage, and then "wrote the room" to answer questions about main idea and details by matching puzzle pieces hidden around the room. Mrs. Goss led students on this fun activity.

The Skyline R-II School District has an opening for school secretary with a start date of July 22nd, 2024. The applicant must be extremely proficient on the computer, including Google Drive, Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to learn other software. The applicant must also be pleasant and efficient with excellent attendance. In addition, one of the main priorities for this position is to schedule and coordinate all substitute employees for the district. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Applications are located our website or can be picked up from Skyline School. Please contact Donnie Luna, Superintendent, at dluna@skyliner2.net for more information.

The "Olympics" Theme set the stage for lots of activities to collect data to create bar graphs and line graphs digitally. The last week of summer school activities for the 5th and 6th graders included events such as puzzle quests, hula hoop one legged balancing, the Toilet Plunger "Torch" Relay (pictured), Big Bubble Blow Up competition (pictured), and the final field trip of worn out little ones!! It was a great, activity filled 8 days! Thank you students who attended! Enjoy your summer off, make memories with family and we look forward to August to see your faces once again!
