Skyline hosted its annual Veteran’s Program on November 11, 2022. Veterans from the community were invited to attend and a goodly number did so, along with their spouses. Veterans were set apart during the program with priority seating and were entertained by a parade of the military branch flags and anthems, and by readers from the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade classes who read poems that memorialized the major wars in U.S. history. Guests were also privileged to hear remarks from special guest and veteran, Dr. Larry Morrison. An added feature of Skyline’s program was the presentation of VFW Patriot Pen Awards to qualifying students. This year’s first place award went to 7th grader, Cryslynn Johnson. Second place was awarded to 8th grader, Tristan Jeffery and in third place was 8th grader, Elizabeth Hinote.
