Air Force Colonel Rocky Griffin addresses students

Wednesday, November 10, Air Force Colonel Rocky Griffin and his wife Karen visited Skyline R-2 in honor of Veterans Day. Colonel Griffin spoke about military service in general and his life and career including his time with the Air Force Space Command Program. Students asked a great many questions about the armed forces, past wars, and Colonel Griffin’s experiences. He patiently answered them all and told quite a few funny stories as well as some sobering ones. He impressed upon the students the importance of every individual in the military and the need for personal integrity. The assembly ended with the performance of the Missing Man Table ceremony to remember and honor our fallen, missing, or imprisoned soldiers.
